Scotland's first Waldorf Astoria will open next year in Edinburgh. Hotel rooms at the prestigious property will bring the core values of the brand to life while reflecting the distinct character and charm of its location. The Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh is to be re-branded as a Waldorf Astoria hotel upon completion of a multimillion pound investment program.
A total of 24 million pounds will be spent on the conversion of the 241 room property on Princes Street, which will be known as The Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel. A number of additions and improvements to the hotel's facilities are underway, including the public spaces, rooms, spa and restaurant. The introduction of the Waldorf Astoria brand to Scotland is part of the company's aggressive growth strategy in markets where they see significant growth potential in the luxury sector.
